The Nelson Company works with manufacturers' production and engineering departments to establish design and schedules. We then select one of many foundries we work with to insure a good quality casting at a fair price. Once this selection process is complete we place orders for pattern and tooling, follow parts through sampling and first production, and buy production castings to machine them, delivering them to meet manufacturers' specifications.

Machine Scrap, Foundry Scrap, and Shrinkage are taken care of by The Nelson Company.

With capabilities of running 3 shift operations, high production and short run production parts are produced and delivered on-time.

We build our own tooling with 3 full-time toolmakers reducing the amount of lead times necessary on new projects.

Lathes are capable of turning (but not limited to) 1/4" to 20" from ounces to 800lbs. or more depending on configuration.

Our 3 and 4 axis Vertical Machining Centers can mill, drill and tap a variety of shapes and sizes while maintaining tight tolerances.

Arranging our machinery into cells increases our efficiency and output.

Mills, Drills, Broaches, Hobbs for Gear-making and Automatic Chuckers complement our machining cells.

An available heat treatment is provided as additional conditioning for the castings.
